Sudoku Magic - The Puzzle Game App Reviews

Love this app. Gives me something to do in February besides the dating thing.

PROS: Randomly generated puzzles ensures theres a near infinite number of puzzles. Capturing a sudoku game on your camera is a little tricky. It has to take up almost the entire width of the phone, almost completely straight, and make sure there are no shadows. When it works, its great!!! I like the rating system, seems accurate for the most part. However when you enter the extreme levels, it doesnt seem to be as accurate. A 14,087 rated puzzle is much easier than a 8,558 rated one. CONS: Needs game center support, challenge friends to a puzzle and see who completes it the fastest. Add a bigger penalty for hints for multiplayer. Ability to edit the tag for each puzzle. Ability to delete puzzles from the library. Coloring feature would be nice.(color specified square a shade of color) Highlighting feature would be nice. (selecting a 1 and all the solved 1s are highlighted or enlarged)

Im addicted to this app and its well designed except one one flaw: Often, but not always, the numbers that I have already solved disappear when I resume the game. The time is ticking away at whatever time it was when I paused it but the puzzle is totally blank again and I have to start over. It happens often enough that Im considering deleting it in frustration, although I have enjoyed the game for so many puzzles that Ive definitely gotten my moneys worth. Fix this, and its worth 5 stars for sudoku fans. Thank you.

Fantastic puzzles for a great price!

This is the best Su Doku app I have used. The camera capture is awesome. One thing it needs is the ability to auto-enter pencil marks.

Hubby and I no longer fight over who gets to do the Sunday puzzle anymore. App works great!!

The only complaint I have is a cosmetic one. If you dont have a retina display you might not notice

Youll have fun no matter what. The only thing I think should be changed is that the number should be out of play when youve placed them in all the correct boxes. Other than that, all smiles for this one :)

Like many of the paid apps that eventually become free, this app has no support for Retina displays and looks horrible on an iPhone 4. For iPhone 4 owners I would recommend >Sudoku, a free app by Finger Arts.

It works just as promised. Ive deleted my other sudoku apps because I no longer need them.

This has got to be the best Sudoku app. Works perfectly. Cant stop solving puzzles. Love it!

i love this app. it makes sudoku very organized and very easy to understand. i like the pencil option. it assists you in the process of elimination. i would recommend this app to everyone and anyone who enjoys playing mind bending puzzles such as sudoku. ;)

It is a great fun app

Yeah, what I said up there! 

The most difficult puzzles ("Extreme") are only available in the paid version, so I upgraded. However, I have been disappointed. First, it appears that there are a limited number of starting patterns for Extreme puzzles (and they are all diagonally symmetrical). Although the numbers are filled in differently each time, the puzzles feel repetitive. Second, the difficultly level seems inconsistent. Some of the Extreme puzzles seemed only moderately hard, while some could only be completed by guessing and looking for an inconsistency. There are good features, such as the interface and the capture function, so this is a good first Sudoku app. But if you are looking for really challenging puzzles, you may find it disappointing.

Not as good as app as camera+ and others.

Game is so fun and addicting.Really fun app.
